Wondering what SOLFUL is really all about? Well, to be perfectly honest, it is about loving our neighbors in Fullerton, without reserve or condition. It is about our own opportunities to grow deeper with Jesus, to see where God is moving in our neighborhoods and join in. It is about building relationships. Tangibly, it looks like organized chaos of the most exciting variety. Throughout these 6 weeks of summer, you will see activities taking place around the city. Here is a brief overview of what will be going on:

Elementary Program
Participants: Children entering 1st-6th grade Days/times: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 1:00pm-3:00, Wednesday:

Description:
Every Monday and Friday, the children will participate in recreational activities such as sports, art, cooking, science, and crafts. Some students will also have the opportunity to sign up for specific workshops that will be volunteer led on Mon, Tues, Thur, and Fri which may include art, dance, sports, etc. These workshops will take place either before or after normally scheduled program time depending on what the leader decides.
Every Tuesday and Thursday, the children will be divided into their grade level groups and participate in interactive reading and/or math lessons and activities.
Every Wednesday, we will take 25-30 children on a field trip to various locations around Orange County and each volunteer will be responsable for a group of children.

Description: The SOLFUL Teen program in the Garnet neighborhood provides an opportunity for volunteers to engage in relationships with teens from the neighborhood through activities, art, games, sports, and weekly field trips. On Tuesday through Thursday volunteers will assist, and for the last 3 weeks, lead these activities during the first hour of the program time. During the second hour, volunteers will oversee the free time options that students can choose from including: computer and internet use, video games, card and board games, pool table, ping pong, etc. On Fridays, volunteers will be responsible to help lead and facilitate weekly field trips to numerous locations at various times each week. (A full schedule will be given to those who show interest in volunteering Friday.

Description: The morning kids program is a resident led program for students going into first grade through fifth grade. Each day volunteers will be assisting, and at times, co- leading with resident leaders to coordinate numerous activities relating to art, science, sports, and games. This program is unique in that volunteers will not only be working with kids, but will have the opportunity to build relationships with other resident volunteers.

Description: Students will participate in activities including art, sports, and education. 75 students will be participating in a rotation of activities each day and will be provided lunch during program time.

Glimpse
Participants: 25 students entering 3rd – 8th grade Days/times: Tuesday, Thursday 3-4:30pm *volunteers need to arrive 30 minutes early and stay 30 minutes after. Location: TBD Number of volunteers needed each day: 8-10
Description: Glimpse kids will have the opportunity to learn more about God's plan for their lives by coming together in a smaller groups to study the Bible and learn how to pray together. There will also be opportunities for field trip outings with this smaller group. Glimpse is desiring volunteers who have a passion to share the Truths of God's Word through committing to a particular small group for the summer.
